The number 11 single in the Detroit covers series comes from Norcos Y Horchata with their offering of their original "Unkind Sometimes" along with the cover of Cinecyde's "Don't Come Crying to Me".
The Norcos members are all veterans of the Detroit scene. You can currently spot a couple of them in Macho. Previous bands include Devious Ones, Bumpin' Uglies, Bill Bondsmen, Dewtons, etc... This is the bands 2nd PHYSICAL single since their 2022 full length "Forever Disheveled". They also have some digital singles mixed into the catalog and have been championed by the likes of Larry Livermore (founder of Lookout Records)
Because of them covering Cinecyde we went with a movie based theme for the sleeves. Two members of Cinecyde started up and ran Thomas Video here in the Detroit area. It is known as the first video/film rental place in the country starting up in 1974. They were/are film buffs and catered to the niche market of off the wall (not your traditional Blockbuster) stuff. They were also known as the first Detroit punk band to put out a single in the '77 punk era ("Gutless Radio").
